  1. So what’s the best way to edit a video down from TM? I’ll be running Austin on 10/8 and am packin’ a GoPro HD and use Macs. I’m sure iMovie isn’t the greatest, have Final Cut express as well, but no real experience with it.

    Thanks for any feedback!

    1. I have been using Adobe Premier Pro to edit the TM video, I am not the most skilled with it . I use the razor and a few transition effects and cut it down and watch that part and do that again and again. When I am done (and usually sick of watching it), I give it to Tyler to watch the shortened version to do some serious cleaning up. I have not used Final Cut, but I hear great things about it. I have tried Adobe After Effects and it is much more powerful but I dont want to have to buy another tool and my trial ran out haha. I have never used iMovie but a lot of the Mac software is very easy to use and I expect iMovie is no exception. Youtube will become your best friend.. think of something you want to do, like speed up a section and do a search for “final cut express speed up video”, the beginning of starting to edit videos is the slowest as you learn a new program and as you think of something else you want to do to a video just look it up, chances are you arent the first one. If you are, find a good forum on your program and there are tons of experts (of which I am not) to help you. This is far from my normal job.. I teach rock climbing classes and just opened up a gymnastics school, riverviewgymnastics.com . This is just a good excuse to travel the USA and meet some awesome people while doing it!

These videos do tend to be long, but they are great when they are done and you put some awesome music to them (which I have assigned to either Tyler or my girlfriend.. definitely not my department). So like the TM, it is a lot of work editing these videos, but the reward is ever lasting.
      Hope this helped!
